As a crew you register alone or as a couple and are active behind the scenes of one of the biggest events in Utrecht; the UIT! Behind the scenes, the crew, which consists of about 150 senior students, makes an important organizational contribution to the UIT.

During the UIT, you’ll be assigned to work at various times and in various roles. You’ll work at least one shift (morning, afternoon, or evening) during the UIT, or more if possible. You can assist artists as a stage manager, serve as a location coordinator for various program segments, manage all behind-the-scenes logistics, run the bar, and perform many other tasks.
In the week before the UIT you will have a mandatory crew day with all other crew members and the event managers. During this day you will receive information about the tasks and what exactly is expected of you during the UIT. Besides the informative part, this day will also focus on creating a team bond between the crew members. Through a fun activity, we will make sure that you as a group also know each other a little better and are ready for the UIT to function optimally.
To be a good crew member we expect above all responsibility and a go-getter mentality, furthermore everything you need to know will be taught during the crew day.
You can only become a crew member if you're a student in the Netherlands and are 18 years old or older. It's a plus (for you) if you can stay overnight in Utrecht during UIT.
There will also be separate activities organized for the crew only in the theme of getting to know and connecting with each other. These will take place before the mandatory crew day and after the UIT.

All-Around Program
You’ll ensure that the various program components of UIT run smoothly and that everything goes off without a hitch. You’ll provide support where needed, roll up your sleeves, and help make every part of the event a success. Together with the rest of the crew, you’ll give thousands of new students an unforgettable UIT experience!
Site Coordinator
You’re the main point of contact for UIT runners and crew at your location, and you ensure that everything runs smoothly both behind the scenes and on the floor. You keep track of everything, coordinate with members of the UIT team, and step in where needed. Thanks to you, the program runs smoothly and the UIT runners can enjoy themselves to the fullest!
Logistics Mail
You’re the indispensable link behind the scenes, making sure all materials end up in the right place. From transportation and storage to getting supplies ready: you’re happy to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Thanks to your dedication, logistics run like clockwork, and the rest of the UIT team can carry on without a care!
Central Post Office
The Central Desk is where questions, problems, and last-minute challenges all come together, and you help resolve them. You serve as a point of contact for crew members, mentors, and participants, and ensure that everyone receives the right information. With your big-picture perspective and solution-oriented approach, you help everyone get back on track!
Bar
You’ll create a fun atmosphere behind the bar and serve guests their favorite drinks. Together with your team, you’ll ensure efficient service, a clean workspace, and a smoothly running bar. You’ll follow all applicable rules and make every shift a party!
What do I get in return?
If you are crew during the UIT, you certainly don't do it for nothing. Through your work as crew, you get a unique look behind the scenes. Not only is it interesting to experience the organization of such a big event up close, it also brings nice benefits. If you do not have a shift, you are free to go wherever you want. Because as a crew you have access to all program parts, activities and parties, you don't have to miss a single part of the UIT!
You also get a crew shirt and jersey, a bag, free meals (if you work your shift during dinnertime), tokens for drinks, crew days, crew drinks and of course lots of appreciation! Being a crew means working and having fun as well as making friends!
