UITDJ

Every year the UIT board chooses a UITband and a UITDJ! As UITDJ, you will perform your sets several times during the parties of the UIT.

After enough hours spinning in your attic room, do you want to show off your skills to the general public? Or have you already played at parties and show off your skills during the UIT? You can; become UITDJ!

We are looking for a DJ to spin the roof off during the events of the UIT. Would you like to bear the name UITDJ? During the UIT there are several parties, each with a different theme. Therefore, we are also looking for a versatile DJ!

We are especially looking for someone who knows what a party is. So all styles are welcome, but experience with one of the following styles is a plus: hip hop, house, moombahton, EDM, lounge, minimal Techno, deephouse. 

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who can communicate well with the audience, and can sense what each party needs! As a DJ you are preferably a student and living in Utrecht. In addition, you must be available during the UIT and the weekend before. 

What do you get in return?

  • For a week, you will be at the center of the UIT several times. Over 4000 students will come into contact with your set! This of course creates enormous brand awareness within Utrecht student life.
  • Compensation for the entire week.
  • A VIP band that gives you access to all parties and activities.

Procedure

Each DJ will send his or her own set. Once all registrations and mixes are in, the organization of the UIT will consider all applications. Based on all the registrations, we will select the DJs who are candidates for the UITDJ contest. During the official UITDJ contest, these DJs will perform one by one in front of the audience and a jury. The contest will take place in May.

An official UITDJ will be chosen from this group. DJs who have made a good impression during the contest will also be asked to play during the week, giving you a chance to play in front of a large audience.
