Before and during the UIT, several event managers are active, who together with the UIT Team play an important role behind the scenes of the UIT. Event managers perform various functions and are ultimately responsible for their own set of tasks.

Internship
It is possible to do the All-round Event Manager position as an internship or to get credits for it. Inquire about this with the appropriate person within your program and take a look at “Internship Program & Logistics” for more information.
Internship Program & Logistics
As a Program & Logistics Support intern, you will be responsible for working with Program and Logistics to help set up program elements and develop ideas into realistic plans.
You will also support the logistics team where necessary. This way you will also get to know the operational side of a large event and you will really be involved from start to finish in the organization of this unique student week.
Sounds good, but what's it really like? Our former intern Nayana tells you
During my internship at the UITweek I had a super fun and educational period. Not only did I get to work on one of the biggest student events in Utrecht, but I also got the chance to develop a new component myself. In the process, I was in contact with many different parties and worked with an enthusiastic team of students.
What I found so valuable:
- You expand your network tremendously and meet many new people.
- You get real hands-on experience in event organization.
- You may take on projects independently, but will always receive guidance as needed.
- You will discover how much fun it is to organize something by and for students.
For me, this was the first time I participated in organizing an induction week, and I learned an awful lot, both personally and professionally. Thanks to the committed guidance and the fine team, I was able to develop myself, take responsibility and actively contribute to various program elements.
The very best moment? When you stand on the podium, look out over all the participants and realize: we made this possible together! You never forget that feeling of pride. That is why I can recommend it to everyone: the UITweek is a great place to learn, gain experience and have fun.
What are the requirements?
- You are an MBO, HBO or WO student of a relevant degree program
- You have an affinity with student life and the city of Utrecht.
- You can work well both independently and as part of a team.
- You keep an overview, even in busy situations, and think in solutions.
- You can work well on multiple projects simultaneously.
- You communicate clearly and organize with pleasure.
- You live in Utrecht or the surrounding area.
- You are excited to develop yourself as well as contribute to one of the best weeks of the year.
- Available for 4-5 days a week (at least 5 in July and August)
- Period: 6 months, start March 2026 (possible other start date by mutual agreement)
What do you get in return?
- An internship where a lot happens. It's never boring with us!
- A place where you can grow, meet new people and expand your professional and personal network
- Good guidance from our project managers
- Fun team of students, with whom you can work together a lot, have lunch, laugh and play ping-pong
- An internship stipend of 500 euros gross based on full time internship
