What is the UIT?

The Utrecht Orientation Week (UIT) is the general city orientation for all incoming (master’s) students who will be studying in Utrecht, regardless of your chosen program. From Monday, August 9, through Thursday, August 12, you’ll be introduced to everything Utrecht has to offer. You’ll learn your way around Utrecht, get tips for starting your college life, and above all, this is a week where you’ll have the chance to make friends for life. You’ll experience all of this together with over 3,500 other incoming students and under the guidance of your mentors. The UIT is the perfect start to your college life!

Who is the UIT for?

The UIT is for everyone who will be studying or starting a new study at Utrecht University, Hogeschool Utrecht, Hogeschool van de Kunsten, Universiteit voor Humanistiek, Tio Business School, Theological University Utrecht, Capabel Hogeschool, Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht, MBO Utrecht, Nimeto Utrecht or ROC Midden Nederland.

The UIT is made possible by the help of hundreds of volunteers. Every year, we’re looking for crew members to help make the UIT an unforgettable week. Would you like to help out at the UIT as a crew member, mentor, catering manager, media crew member, or editorial staff member?

Will you become an atmosphere builder for the out?

Do you drop the best beats or are you a smooth talker? Then take your place on stage as an entertainer for Utrecht’s biggest student event! Every year, UIT is looking for a UIT Band, a UIT DJ, and hosts! Does this sound like something for you? Then apply to the UIT!
